
Akinyele Aminu, a Nigerian, just made history by being one of the youngest people in the world to earn a Ph.D. degree.
At the age of 21, the Nigerian scholar Akinyele Aminu received his Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh in the United States. He earned a first-class Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from Mountain Top University.

He stated that he was admitted to the school at a very young age. In his primary school, he received a double promotion from primary two to primary four.
He finished his secondary schooling and was admitted to the university at 14, the same year he left secondary school.
Celebrating his achievements, he took to his LinkedIn handle to congratulate himself.
He wrote:
“I am elated to announce that I have proceeded for a PhD at the University of Pittsburgh at the age of 21! In recognition of my academic accomplishments, I was awarded a fellowship that caters for my entire tuition as well as all my expenses.”
